Internationally acclaimed Haisla and Heiltsuk author Eden Robinson has cemented her place as one of Canada’s literary giants. From her groundbreaking debut, Monkey Beach, to her bestselling Trickster trilogy, she brings readers on page-turning rides through supernatural worlds steeped in Indigenous traditions. The Sorceress of Sky Serpents is the latest anticipated adventure from the Writers’ Trust Engel/Findley Award-winning writer, set on a dangerous planet where monsters haunt the survivors of an apocalyptic sorcerers’ war. In conversation with Monique Gray Smith, Robinson will discuss how she wove fantasy with the Indigenous cultures of the Pacific Northwest to create a new, one-of-a-kind world.

EDEN ROBINSON is the author of several award-winning books, including Traplines, which won the Winifred Holtby Prize in the UK; Monkey Beach won the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize and was a finalist for the Giller Prize & the Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction. Her book, Son of a Trickster, became a finalist for the Giller Prize & Canada Reads. She lives in Kitamaat Village, BC.

MONIQUE GRAY SMITH is an award-winning, bestselling author of books for children and adults, as well as an accomplished international speaker and consultant. Of Cree and Scottish descent, she has been sober and on her healing journey for more than thirty-four years. She and her family are blessed to live on the Traditional Territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ Peoples near Victoria, British Columbia.
