How much do tickets cost?
Ticket prices include GST and service fees, so there will be no surprises at checkout.
October Festival events are $28 except where indicated. Discounts on standard Festival events are offered for members (10%), seniors (10%), and youth under 25 ($15 flat fee).*
Youth Festival events are $12 per person. Our digital youth events are all free.

*Discounts apply to standard Festival events only. Standard Festival events are all Festival events with a base price of $28. Excludes premium Festival events, youth events, special events, Books & Ideas, and any other non-standard event. Discounts are included in the ticket price. Make sure you are purchasing the correct ticket type to receive the discount. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively.
How do I access my tickets?
Your tickets are attached to the order confirmation you received when you booked. You will also receive them again 24 hours before the event starts. You can download the PDF file, or access them using the Showpass app.
I can’t find my tickets! Can you help me?
Please search your email inbox for an email from no-reply@showpass.com. If you still cannot find them, please contact our box office.
I’ve just purchased my tickets. Now what?
After purchasing, you will receive an order confirmation to your provided email address within a few minutes. Your tickets are attached to this email as a PDF, and you can also access them using the Showpass app.
You will receive an event reminder email 24 hours before the event. Your tickets will be attached to this email also.
Can I give my tickets to someone else?
Yes, tickets are fully transferable. The easiest way to transfer tickets is to forward the order confirmation email to whoever you wish to transfer to. You can also transfer tickets through your Showpass account.
Please note that if you purchased a Member, Senior, or Youth under 25 ticket, whoever you forward to must meet the criteria for those tickets.
I don’t have a credit card. Can I still buy tickets?
Many debit cards allow online purchases, either directly or through PayPal. If this is not an option for you, please contact our box office.
What is my Showpass password?
You can reset your password here or by calling 844-307-7469. Alternatively, you can check out as a guest.
FAQ for Members
What is the pre-sale password?
The member pre-sale password was emailed to you at 12pm on August 27th and at 10am on September 10th. If you purchased a membership after these dates, the password is in your membership confirmation email. If you can’t find it, please contact our box office.
I’m a Member, why don’t I get a Member discount?
Member discounts only apply to standard Festival events. We do not offer discounts on premium Festival events, youth events, special events, Books & Ideas, and any other non-standard event.
If you do not see a Member ticket type when purchasing tickets, then the member discount does not apply to that event.
How do I apply my Member discount?
The 10% discount is already accounted for in the price you pay for a Member ticket.
If you do not see a Member ticket type available, then the event you are looking at is not a standard Festival event, and the discount is not offered.
You do not need a promo code to receive the discount.
Why can I only buy 2 Member tickets per event?
The intent of the Member discount is that you can purchase a ticket for yourself and one guest. If your group is larger, you can purchase additional tickets at full price, or encourage your companions to become members!
