Festival Reading List
October 18–25, 2026
The Reading List represents over 140 authors scheduled to join us at our flagship Festival, taking place this year from October 18–25 (along with some extraordinary pre-Festival Special Events in September and October). For one wondrously literary week, Vancouver will become a gathering place for readers and writers. Make sure to save the dates to hear conversations and storytelling from some of today’s most exciting voices.

2026 Guest Curator
Informing our programming this year is award-winning, Vancouver-based author John Vaillant. His acclaimed works of nonfiction include the national bestsellers The Golden Spruce and The Tiger, and his latest book, Fire Weather: The Making of a Beast—a shocking account of the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire, which won the Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing and the Baillie Gifford prize for Nonfiction, and was a finalist for the 2024 Pulitzer Prize. John’s body of work has influenced our selection of climate-engaged authors at this year’s Festival.
Official Bookseller

These books are available from our Official Bookseller Book Warehouse, a division of Black Bond Books.
