36. The Misewa Series Finale: David A. Robertson in Conversation

Join us to celebrate the finale of The Misewa Saga, David A. Robertson’s adventurous, award-winning, middle grade fantasy series set in a world inspired by Narnia and Indigenous culture. The stakes are higher than ever in The World’s End, as Eli must summon the power to protect Misewa against the dangers of colonization. Always a popular and engaging speaker, Robertson will talk about this latest and last book in the six-part series, share stories and inspiration from when he was a kid himself, and might even drop hints about the much anticipated screen adaptation of The Misewa Saga. Moderated by Tanya Boteju. Grades 4–7.

Themes: Middle-grade fiction, Indigenous, fantasy, worldbuilding, colonization
Curriculum Connections: English Language Arts 4-9, Social Studies 3-5
