22. Kenneth Oppel in Conversation

22. Kenneth Oppel in Conversation

Award-winning author Kenneth Oppel isn’t afraid to try new things. He’s written about a brave bat’s epic journey in the internationally bestselling Silverwing series; horror stories such as Ghostlight and his latest, Best of All Worlds; high-flying adventures set on airships 20,000 feet above the ground; charming picture books for children; and much more. This bold experimentation has been rewarded with awards and accolades, and loyal fans who can’t wait to see what he does next. In conversation, Oppel will share more about his new book and his work to date, and how his curiosity about the world drives him to create such compelling stories across multiple genres and topics. Moderated by Shannon Ozirny. Grades 8–12.
