19. Masterclass with Rebecca Wood Barrett

Award-winning author Rebecca Wood Barrett has done all kinds of jobs, including submarine escape and rescue, torpedo recovery, filmmaking, video editing, heli-skiing, cat-skiing, and more—but having written her first book at the age of seven, she has always been a writer first. A passionate advocate for the literary arts who teaches both emerging and established authors, Rebecca brings her witty and supportive teaching style to this middle grade Masterclass. The author of My Summer Camp Has Mega Sloths will share how she crafts such exciting and unique stories, and how her wide-ranging career path has inspired her writing. Grades 4–7.

Rebecca is a passionate advocate for the literary arts, and enjoys supporting writers of all ages in their creative writing adventures.
