Vancouver Writers Fest Hires Jennifer Milley as Managing Director
Vancouver, BC — The Vancouver Writers Fest is thrilled to announce it has appointed Jennifer Milley to the team as Managing Director.
Jennifer will collaborate closely with Artistic Director Leslie Hurtig, overseeing financial management, logistics and operations to support the outstanding year-round programming that the Festival is renowned for. Most recently, Jennifer was Executive Director of Pacific Theatre. She brings an extensive background in fundraising, creative endeavours and leadership to this role alongside a deep passion for books, having received both a BA and MA in English Literature from the University of British Columbia, and describing herself as a “self-proclaimed book nerd.”
“Jennifer’s attention to detail, her experience in managing budgets and her passion for the arts and literature in Vancouver, make her an ideal fit for the Vancouver Writers Fest. We are excited to add her energy and talents to the leadership team as we head into the Festival week in October,” said Alison Broddle, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Writers Fest.
Jennifer will join the Writers Fest team in September in advance of the flagship Festival week, taking place from October 21–27, 2024.
