Kasari Govender

KASARI GOVENDER is B.C.’s first independent Human Rights Commissioner. Her role is to lead promotion and protection of human rights in British Columbia. Commissioner Govender's work centres listening deeply to people in B.C. to inform educational materials, policy guidance, inquiries, interventions, community-based research and other work that protects marginalized communities, addresses discrimination and injustice and upholds human rights for all.
