Writers in the Classroom: Apply by September 30 for a free author visit between October–December!

The Vancouver Writers Fest offers students in Vancouver and across British Columbia the opportunity to interact with celebrated writers through a variety of year-round programs, including at our annual Festival. In 2026, students can join us at 20 youth events for students from grades K–12.

All youth events take place in-person on Granville Island between October 20–22, and will also be livestreamed. Tickets for youth events go on sale on Tuesday, September 15 at 8:00am.

Teachers can also join us on Friday, October 23 for Pro-D Day events that have been curated with professional development in mind.

Tickets for in-person youth events (for both youth and accompanying adults) are just $12 (inclusive of taxes). VWF offers ticket and bus subsidies for school groups based on need. Learn more here.  Livestream tickets are free!
