Words in Motion: When Writing Meets Improv

We’re pleased to support The Fictionals for a wonderful comedy event happening Thursday, October 18th at 8PM.

Words in Motion is the crossover event we’ve been waiting for—improv comedy and literature collide in what will be an epic and hilarious performance inspired by audience suggestions, classic lit, and modern bookshelf hits. We’re so excited for this event we’re even lending them Ian Boothby for the night as a special guest comedian.

Live performers include:

  • Duncan Shields (Vancouver Nerd Slam Champion, IWPS Haiku Champion)
  • Angelica Poversky (Vancouver’s Top 24 Under 24, TD Scholar, Richmond’s 30 Under 30)
  • RC Weslowski (Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Champion, Mashed Poetics) and
  • Jillian Christmas (Artistic Director of Verses Festival of Words, Vancouver Poetry Slam Champion)

If you love laughs and literature, then reserve your ticket for $7 on eventbrite. Alternatively, you can get tickets at the door from 7:30 PM on for $10.

You can RSVP on Facebook to be reminded about it.

And while you’re at it, check out The Fictionals’ other social media.

They’re a hilarious group well worth a follow.
