It’s not every day that kids have the opportunity to ask questions of two celebrated writers with dream jobs: writing comic books! In this fun, celebratory event, Ian Boothby (Sparks!) and Jeffrey Brown (Lucy & Andy Neanderthal) speak about the power of comics. Boothby is a veteran comic book creator and the lead writer of Simpsons Comics and Futurama Comics for Matt Groening’s Bongo Comics. Brown is best known for his New York Times–bestselling Jedi Academy series. These endlessly creative authors and artists discuss what they love about the medium and how they got started in one of the coolest jobs available today.

Grades 3–6.
