The world stops and your heart is in your throat: often it’s staring down our deepest fear that we discover ourselves. Facing the wilds, or the open road, is exhilarating, life-affirming—and life-changing. Few know this better than these three female authors whose memoirs share revelations of adventure travel. Named one of Canada’s top 10 adventurers, Kate Harris quit her laboratory at MIT to cycle the 4,350 miles of Silk Road, as shared in Lands of Lost Borders. Also known as a poster child for the outdoors, Jan Redford depicts mountain climbing and motherhood in End of the Rope, while Joanna Streetly depicts coastal living’s dangerous, beautiful flow in Wild Fierce Life. Join them for a fascinating discussion about life without boundaries.

Amanda Lewis is the Editorial Director of Page Two Strategies and co-founder and Literary Director of The Reading Line.
