It’s an insatiable feeling, when the hair on the back of your neck rises and you turn the page, compelled to know what’s around the next paragraph. These three thriller writers know how to offer such delectable chills in spades. Liz Nugent’s Unravelling Oliver begins with a shocking act of intermarital violence. The mystery is how it could possibly have happened. She may even offer a sneak-peek of her upcoming Lying in Wait, too. Melanie Raabe, author of The Stranger Upstairs, also probes the secrets of marriage. She asks you to consider what you would do if, after years of waiting to be reunited with your husband, the man who returns to you is… a stranger. Paul Cleave (A Killer Harvest) is synonymous with thrills and rounds out this spine-tingling afternoon.
