Helena Janeczek was born in Munich in a Polish Jewish family, and has been living in Italy for over thirty years. Her novels have gained many literary awards and have been translated in many languages. With “The Girl with the Leica” she won the Strega Prize, Italy’s most prestigious literary award, and was a finalist for the Campiello Prize. She lives in Milan, Italy.
