To celebrate National Volunteer Week (April 19-25), we’re recognizing the outstanding work that our volunteers do for the Festival around the year. In 2019, our volunteers contributed over 5,000 hours and made a positive impact on front of house, box office, book sales, author hospitality, raffle ticket sales and so much more. We wouldn’t be able to do this without you!
We also want to recognize the many volunteers who we know are working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic in healthcare, essential and support services. This article mentions one of our long-time volunteers, Zoe Manarangi Bake-Paterson and the work she and her colleagues are doing at St. Paul’s Hospital. We see the changes you all make in your day jobs and your volunteer commitments and we salute you!
