Johanna Wagstaffe is the meteorologist and science host for CBC Vancouver and CBC News Network, covering local, national and international weather and science stories. With a background in seismology, geophysics and earth science, Wagstaffe has covered a wide range of science stories, including the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire, the 2011 Japan tsunami and the Paris Climate Change Conference. She enjoys teaching children about weather and science and is part of the Astronuts Kids Space Club. Fault Lines: Understanding the Power of Earthquakes is Wagstaffe’s debut non-fiction book about the science behind earthquakes and children who have experienced them.
