Ed O’Loughlin


Before becoming an author, Ed O’Loughlin worked for twenty years as
a journalist for the Sydney Morning Herald and the Irish Times. Fourteen
of those years were spent as a foreign correspondent in the Middle East
and Africa. His first novel, Not Untrue & Not Unkind was longlisted for
the Man Booker Prize in 2009 and received critical acclaim. His latest
novel, Minds of Winter, follows two people who journey to the Arctic Circle
hoping to learn what happened to family members, who they discover are linked through
the Franklin expedition to find the Northwest Passage.
