Music for Tigers
Middle schooler and passionate violinist Louisa is spending the summer with her Australian relatives in the Tasmanian rainforest. It’s an intriguing place with strange creatures and weird noises and odours in the night, and a quirky boy named Colin. And then there is a sanctuary for Tasmanian tigers, believed to have gone extinct. When the sanctuary is threatened by a mining operation, Louisa realizes that the key to saving the tiger is her very own music. Will her plan work or will the Tasmanian tiger disappear once again? A delightful new work from Governor General Award finalist and author of the Junior Library Guild selection Girl of the Southern Sea, Michelle Kadarusman.
