Programs

Incite: Incite is a free reading series presented by the Vancouver Writers Fest and the Vancouver Public Library. It offers intimate conversations with authors every second Wednesday from January to May.
The Festival: Our flagship Festival every October welcomes more than 100 writers from across the globe to share their stories and ideas with 17,000+ audience members.
Education: Our Youth Education Programming includes school visits, specially-curated events that support the BC curriculum, plus bus and ticket subsidies.
Free Saturday: The Vancouver Writers Fest offers a day of free programming during the flagship October Festival. In 2018, we welcomed more than 2,000 people to 12 events, with an average attendance of more than 80 percent in each theatre.
My Roots: A free writing workshop for immigrants, which encourages writers to think imaginatively about those places we call home.
