Maile Meloy is a writer of short fiction, essays and novels. Her Apothecary trilogy for young readers, the final book of which was released this year, was a New York Times bestseller. She is a frequent contributor to The New York Times and her essays and short fiction have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Granta and O.
