Sarah Glidden is a cartoonist and illustrator who works primarily in non-fiction and reportage comics. Her debut book, How to Understand Israel in 60 Days or Less landed on several best of the year lists, including Entertainment Weekly; earned a YALSA Great Graphic Novels for Teens distinction; and won an Ignatz Award for “Promising New Talent” in 2008. Her latest work is Rolling Blackouts: Dispatches from Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, a non-fiction graphic novel in which Glidden follows reporters across the Middle East, learning about journalism and storytelling.
