Roberto Ascalon

Roberto Ascalon is a New York City-born poet, writer, arts educator and spoken-word performance artist. He is the recipient of the 2013 Rattle Poetry Prize. His teaching residencies have led to multi-media poetry exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum, the Frye Art Museum and the Museum of History and Industry. Ascalon connects with audiences through universal narratives that encompass topics such as racism, first kisses, love, family and Spam.
