Robert Olen Butler is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of 16 novels, six short-story collections, and a book on the creative process. His work has been translated into 19 languages and he has twice won the National Magazine Award in Fiction. In 2013, he received the F. Scott Fitzgerald Award for Outstanding Achievement in American Literature. Butler teaches creative writing at Florida State University. Perfume River, his latest novel, examines family ties and the legacy of the Vietnam War through the portrait of a single North Florida family.
