Kit Pearson is an award-winning, critically acclaimed Canadian children’s author. Pearson was born in Alberta and spent her childhood between Edmonton and Vancouver. After receiving her Library degree from UBC, she worked as a children’s librarian for a decade. She later obtained an MA at the Simmons College Center for the Study of Children's Literature in Boston. In 2014, Pearson received BC’s Lieutenant Governor's Award for Literary Excellence. Her latest book is A Day Of Signs And Wonders, inspired by the childhood of Emily Carr.
